In Her Own Words

Writing is one of my passions. Ironically, it was born out of another passion, reading.

Growing up, I went down the rabbit hole with Alice and met with the queen of hearts under the covers in my bedroom with a flashlight, I marveled at black beauty and watched in awe as captain Ahab wrestled with the great white whale. In fact, I don't remember a time when reading wasn't a big part of my life.

I traveled to India with M. L. Kay and to Regency England with Victoria Holt. I cried with Jane Eyre as a teen and revisited her

again last year. Reading assuages my curiosity by allowing me to explore other places, times, cultures, and most of all history. I write for the same reason. My desire is to take the reader on an emotional journey through the pages of history, to entertain as well as educate. I have often said that reading is like time traveling. Books take you anywhere you desire and at any time you desire.

I am a life-long resident of Philadelphia, a wife, the mother of two adult children and three grandchildren.

Inspired by the works of Zora Neale Hurston, Taylor Caldwell, Alice Walker and many other authors. I have been writing for more than thirty years.

To date I have penned three novels and fourteen short stories which I published in a short story book, entitled Times of Joy and Sorrow.

I am currently working on a fifth novel. Details to be revealed in the near future.
