Back at the PC

For a number of reasons, it has been close to nine months since I’ve penned a blog or did any significant writing, but I’m doing my best to slowly get back into the swing of things. Besides dealing with our illnesses, my best friend Max, my dog, became very ill and had to be put down. For quite a while after Max, I just didn’t feel like doing much of anything, including reading and writing. I slept a lot and I learned how to knit socks. In fact, I’m knitting my third pair now.

My husband and I recently left the apartment and moved into a house. I’m sure I don’t have to tell you how difficult moving can be, especially at our ages.

All things considered, life has settled down a bit and I am again committed to finishing the third novel in the Legacy Series (Tentative Title: The Bowmans), and promoting all three.

I will be doing a give away for the first two novels in the coming weeks.

Also, in August 2018 I reviewed Sister of Mine by Sabra Waldfogel. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and have since discovered other like novels by this author. Let Me Fly, Freedom Land, and Charleston’s Daughter have all been added to my reading list. I hope some of you will enjoy these novels as I am sure I will.

Upcoming blogs include the Harlem Renaissance and excerpts from an unpublished nonfiction book on the politics of hair in the African American Community.
